Much like the gargoyles of medieval times, the job of the trustworthy Land Shark is to protectively watch over your gardens, patios and walkways. They swim around scaring off unsavory intruders who are up to no good like bunnies, deer and aphids. No need to be intimidated by your Land Shark! For underneath that fierce look, lies the heart of your sensitive and loyal servant.

Legend of Bonefish
Bone Fish used to be a Land Shark but, along time ago, something happened. While protectively swimming through the vegetable garden, a lettuce stealing bunny darted from the patch right into a hollow log to hide. Without hesitation, the loyal and courageous Bone Fish swam right into that hollow log after that bunny. The Bone Fish did indeed scare that bunny off! The log however, was smaller around than he was so he left his fishy coat behind and emerged with only his skeleton.

Happyfish metal sculpture
Happyfish Metal Sculpture

The HappyFish Steel Sculpture starts off as a doodle, then a drawing and finally gets drawn in Adobe Illustrator. These Happyfish sculpture are plasma cut out of steel, welded together then hand bent into it’s fishy shape. Finally, a finishing soak in the “rusty juice” to give it it’s patina and a light coat of Lacquer to seal in the goodness. The Happyfish is the most detailed of my fishes. It has gone through the most changes over the years and I am very happy with it. I know you will be , too.

Happy Fish is a distant cousin to Bonefish. After the last great glacier melt, the ensuing flood of water split a school of Bonefish in two, one going east and the other west. After a millennia of separation, the Bonefish washed to the west evolved into the Happyfish
we see today.  This jovial and carefree fish has adapted well with humans, making them the perfect for long strolls on the beach, assisting in homework or just sitting around looking joyful!
I created Bonefish in the spirit of a joyful life, possibly by therapy and anti-depressants.
