Bringer of Coffee

$75.00

There is an ancient legend that speaks of Kaldi, an Ethiopian goatherd , discovering that when his flock nibbled on the bright red berries of a certain bush they became more energetic. Seeing this, he chewed on the fruit himself. His exhilaration prompted him to bring the berries to a monk in a nearby monastery, but the monk disapproved of their use and threw them into a fire, from which an enticing aroma billowed. The roasted beans were quickly raked from the embers, ground up, and dissolved in hot water, yielding the world’s first cup of coffee
I created BRINGER OF COFFEE out of a sense of whimsy and my own experiences with the energetic elixir.

All artwork is designed and made David N. DeMattia in Saint Croix Falls, Wisconsin! Please enjoy!

Plasma cut, cold rolled steel. 12″ Long x 3″ Wide
