Wall Hanging Dragon Sculpture

This friendly Wall Hanging Dragon Sculpture is plasma cut from 16 gauge steel, carefully welded together, buffed to a shine then clear coated with several coats of Lacquer. As with all my designs, this happy dragon started off it’s life in one of my many sketch books. Once satisfied with the sketches, I start drawing the final version in Adobe Illustrator. I then take the Illustrator file and use another piece of software to define the cut lines. Then the dragon is ready to cut on my CNC plasma cutter!

He spent as much of his time at the park as possible and the rest of it in his mother’s garage, learning the secrets of animating creatures, like the ones those now famous Disney “Imagineers” had done.
